My project enables me to diversify my classroom library so that my students are offered more choice in their independent reading. Students will engage in groups discussions, project-based learning, and blogging about their books in order to create a culture of readers. In addition, they participate in an arts integration program with a focus on social justice, so these reading selections will fit perfectly. I cannot wait to see their excitement over new book titles that promote inclusion and social justice. We read to know, and books are powerful!
