I am a math teacher in a small, high minority, rural high school in Eastern Oklahoma. Many of our students do not have the needed supplies to make the most out of their mathematics education. Most of our students come from a lower socioeconomic, rural community and do not have the oppertunity to obtain these extra needed items. Living in such a high poverty community many students do not have access to quality technology. Having these calculators will give my students the ability to have calculators in class to use on classwork and to become fimilar with their operation. They will also have the ability to check them out to use on tests such as the ACT.
