Students will thrive when the classroom can meet their needs. Therefore, I would like to create seating arrangements that promote learning as well as a sense of calm and space. Using the bookcases as benches with inviting cushions will give me the opportunity to arrange our classroom in such a way that students can move to these areas to find some quiet space to read, to work, or to just sit and visit. Flexible seating areas with cozy lighting create an atmosphere that invites students to decompress, as well. A bookshelf with wonderful literature will enhance these spaces. With an emphasis on their social-emotional needs, students can grow confident in their abilities to learn. I am excited to create these areas for children. My students and I will be grateful for your donations, and I look forward to sharing how they are succeeding in the classroom this fall.
