Each week we celebrate many successes. We celebrate when we achieve our next level of sight words, increase our reading level, and hit our math goals. These treats will help keep the motivation alive! Our sight words have different levels. For my students working on their "Rainbow Words" (kindergarten level sight words) they will receive a treat of a sour punch straw each time they earn a color for their rainbow. My students working on their "Ninja Words" (first grade level sight words) they will receive a ring pop each time they earn a new color belt. If my students move up a level in their reading goals, they will get to pick one of the special treats such as chips, Pop tarts, etc. Also, if my students reach their lesson goals in math, they will receive one of our special treats based on the number of lessons completed. For example, if a student completes 5 lessons, they will receive a small candy treat, 6-10 lessons they will receive a choice between a snack pack, 10+ lessons a treat of their choice.
