A safe-learning environment is key to engagement and growth for young students in the classroom. Also, the books have diverse characters who will make my students feel represented in our classroom library. Books that are interesting and colorful will cultivate my students love of reading. These books will be an integral part of my classroom and help a first year teacher start the year of on the right foot.
