With these materials I will be able to provide mathematical concepts through multicultural literacy. Students will gain a perspective of how math exists in the world. By studying successful women and men of all cultures and races, students will begin to learn how they themselves can be successful within mathematics. These diverse books will be used to introduce new math concepts. Along side math concepts being taught through literacy, students will be given extension opportunities by researching these innovate leaders. Students will be able to make real life connections through these powerful and inspiring stories.

About my class
