A majority of my students come from low-income homes. COVID-19 has added a new financial obstacle to many of my students' families. In other years, to alleviate the financial burden on families, our classroom relied on a community supply of resources that we shared throughout the day. By each student having their own individual school supplies such as pencils, notebooks, sticky notes, dry erase markers, etc., my students will be able to continue to access our rigorous curriculum without worrying about the financial burden of affording school supplies. Additionally, these supplies will be used by the individual students in the event of distance learning so that there is not an interruption in their learning!
