Just Mercy will give my AP Lang students a view into many of the societal issues that are shaking America right now. This book will allow them to see the fight for social justice in America and how it effects people of all ages, genders, and races. Students will read this book in the classroom and from home. It will be a springboard for more research on specific topics of their choice. We will discuss and students will prepare multimedia presentations incorporating themes from the book and current event articles.
