The books on this list have been selected for our "First Chapter Friday' books for the year. In which each Friday, I will read the first chapter to the students, then have them available for students to sign up and check them out. When we get to March, we start our Annual March Book Madness competition, where each week books will get to go head to head until the students vote on their favorite book of the school year. I also genrefy these books, to help students become more aware of reading genres, and are options for titles on our reading choice boards throughout the school year.
