Hands-on manipulatives are vital for building connections. I would like to ensure that every child in my classroom has their own set of letters to identify vowels and constants, build words, and manipulate the letters of the alphabet to deepen the understanding of sounds, shapes, and relationships between letters. These materials would let me create a set for each student to use by hardening resin with a black light and coloring the letters for ease of use. Sets for each student are more important than ever with the desire to keep things sanitized and ensure that germs are not being shared.
