My students learn in a variety of ways. Research shows teaching phonological skills is crucial when teaching students to read. These materials will help boost my students' understanding of phonics skills as they learn to read words. The Teaching Phonics Skills activity center will allow my students to apply learned phonological skills during guided practice and small group time. The touch read activity box allows a tactile approach to reading that my special thinkers can greatly benefit from. Reading is a necessary skill to function independently in society. Both will help them become more independent readers.
