These texts will broaden students' understanding of the human experience and act as the fodder for reading and writing workshops, dynamic in-class discussions, and reflection journals. Through amassing a wide range of world literature, students will be gifted the opportunity of choice - the autonomy to select texts of interest. Not only will these texts support equity and inclusion efforts in the English Language Arts classroom, but they will also demonstrate how literature aids in the practices of "freedom and liberation." Help us on our journey to become life-long thinkers, readers, and practitioners of freedom.
