With preparing for the 2020/2021 school year, my students are not going to be able to share any supplies or technology due to COVID-19. With these Fire tablets, they will be able to enhance their learning experiences through centers, small groups and working one on one with the teacher if needed. They will be working with apps that will help them learn letters, sounds, how to write the letters, numbers, counting, how to write their numbers to 30 (or higher), spelling, CVC words, phonics, phonological awareness, and many other skills that will help them become more successful in the classroom and help them get ready for kindergarten. My main goal with my students is to prepare them for kindergarten. I taught kindergarten for 9 years and know what they need to be able to do to be ready! My students LOVE working with technology and they take very good care of the limited technology that we have now. I will initiate their help in sanitizing all the tablets after they use them and putting them away where they belong! This will help them learn responsibility, cleaning up after themselves, taking care of things that they use, and working as a team to take care of the tablets. These are important skills they will need in life!
