These students are predominantly low-income students. Many come from single-parent homes, and some from no-parent homes where a grandmother or aunt has taken them in. Poverty runs rampant in this area. I want them to know there is hope and they hold the key to their future. However, if they enter into my room filled with old countertops and 2x4's they will never feel what it is like to be in a real professional environment. These students have no control over their current situations, but they can change their futures.

About my class
