Children grasp mathematical concepts best through hands-on learning. Many of the math manipulatives that are available in our classroom are not found at home. It was clear during distance learning last spring that my students were often confused when I was teaching. Demonstrating manipulatives during our Zoom meetings and recorded math lessons wasn't enough. My students need a Math Toolbox with appropriate manipulatives for engaged and accurate learning of the concepts second graders need to know. The items in this request will enable me to complete Toolboxes for each child.
