When teaching in a kindergarten classroom, an easel can support students' understanding of new concepts whole group and small group instruction. An easel can help my students learn in so many ways such as by writing their letters and numbers to read and writing their sight words. Children need to be shown different ways of learning before they can do it on their own. Therefore, having an easel in which students can see, write on, and learn from with the help of their teacher can help them develop the reading, writing, and math skills necessary to succeed in new learning. Giving my students the opportunity to have this visual and hands-on learning tool now will help them further develop the necessary skills they will need in their future years of learning. As a plus, this magnetic, write on easel contains additional storage that can be utilized for other materials in our classroom such as magnetic letters, shapes, charts, or markers. Together we can help our students successfully learn new literacy and math skills for a successful future!
