Students are more engaged when lessons are hands-on. Our team has done a couple of escape rooms where students simply record answers in a booklet and engagement skyrocketed. Having actual locks and boxes would make the activity more engaging and exciting. Students could check answers themselves with the locks rather than having to check answers with the teacher. These materials can be used in every subject area as well as special cross-curricular activities our team participates in like Day of the Dead and Crime Scene Investigation Interdisciplinary Unit. Having Platform Access for Breakout Edu will also allow students to create their own digital breakouts as evidence of learning for standards in various classes.
