Not only will these books provide students with a diverse classroom library so that they can develop a more worldly perspective, but I will be incorporating a majority of these books into our ELA instruction for social studies and multicultural studies as well. If we go visual, they will serve as read-alouds on Seesaw, for instruction as well. Living in a small town, myself, sometimes I can be blind to the big world around me. I want to be a better model to my students of becoming more worldly, with the help of diverse books.
