Air conditioning creates better air quality in the classroom. It filters the air and clears toxins from the environment. This gives students and staff better health. Teachers have seen improvements in the behavior of students when they are learning in cooler temperatures. Studies show that as temperatures soar, children's academic performance declines. In a hot classroom, headaches and heat-related physical issues can decrease alertness and interest, distract students and hinder academic performance. Also, warm indoor temperatures can make students sleepy. Keeping students at a comfortable temperature increases their ability to concentrate and learn!
