We strive to keep up to date with the latest technologies, manipulatives, and visuals to support student learning throughout the curriculum. Currently, the school's focus is building a sensory room for our students. Sensory rooms help children improve their visual, auditory, and tactile processing, in addition to fine and gross motor skills. Sensory regulation items provide a sense of calm and comfort, helping children with autism, ADHD, and other specific learning disabilities learn to self-regulate their behaviors, ultimately improving focus. The items also help develop social learning skills like negotiating, planning, and sharing. The skills acquired with sensory regulators can decrease meltdowns which ultimately increases the time spent in the classroom learning.
