Encouraging my students to be lifelong readers is one of my goals as a teacher. Students often turn away from reading because of a lack of books and not having a choice on what to read. I will be teaching in a Title 1 school and many of my students may not have access to books at home. I want to provide my students with a classroom library that offers a variety of books that represent different cultures, are interesting to emergent and advanced readers, and are easily accessible in our classroom. With your help, our classroom library will be fully stocked and will not only be enjoyed by my first class but my future classes as well.
