Kindergarten students are busy and active little learners! I am finding that more and more students need help with focus and attending skills, particularly in whole group situations. Many times throughout each day, lessons, discussions, and stories are introduced to the whole group in the classroom. If a student is not attending, he/she misses information and directions and therefore has a great deal of difficulty learning. This wonderful carpet from Lakeshore Learning would give each student a great comfortable spot of their own in the classroom. It provides space to help each child keep their hands and feet to themselves, which in turn keeps them focused and engaged. It also helps each child develop a sense of ownership in the classroom.
