As a first year teacher, not knowing whether my students and I will be together in the classroom or together online, I want to be prepared for any situation that is thrown my way to provide my students with the perfect learning experience that they deserve. As many students come to class without the supplies needed, I want to be able to provide students with the means necessary to have a successful learning experience, as well as the supplies needed to provide students with a safe space to learn in. Students love to be engaged in lessons and the dry erase boards will be beneficial in providing opportunities for my students to be engaged in math & language arts lessons. Mathematics can sometimes be challenging for learners to understand, and I believe the “Math is Fun” book set would be a great resource to have to help students realize how fun math can be! This project will be a stepping stone in preparing my classroom with the materials needed for students to achieve a positive learning experience.
