Math can be scary for some scholars. However, Ive learned that when the abstrat ideas in math are presented and thought in different forms then scholars feel more capable of doing math. In a class of diverse learners, we have the same high expectations as we do with every other scholar. However, in order for our diverse learners to be successful we need to accommodate and modify our curriculum with the tools they need to be successful. Through the usage of manipulatives, my scholars have not only been able to succeed in math but also enjoy the material! Sadly the tools and resources at school are limited and often have to be shared with others. This year, my scholars will be stepping up the game by learning algebra! Im exited to introduce this material to them since they have been eager to move on to higher level math. In order for my scholars to be successful we will need ALL the manipulatives we can get. I want my scholars to have the right tools to move up to the next level in Math. Manipulatives are essential for diverse learners and we need your help to obtain these tools.
