I never imagined that I would find myself remotely teaching from home, and that my students would be learning new material through video conferencing calls and recorded home videos. We are charging forward and looking at it as a learning opportunity for all! Not only are we adjusting to the virtual needs of our students, but the equitable needs as well. My students love to read, and to hear someone read to them. I want to give them the opportunity to experience books with characters who they can relate too. My students need to see characters that have overcame obstacles, and faced challenges.
