Hello! I am a first year first grade teacher. With all the new protocols in place, I believe it is even more imperative to provide a calm and comfortable learning environment that also allows for children to have space for social distancing. I am looking to add more flexible seating choices to help provide this for my little learners. Thank you for helping me reach my goals! Flexible seating allows for students to make their own choices in their learning environment. This will also encourage students in their learning. I chose a rug because my new classroom doesn't have one and this will provide space for students to work while on the floor. I chose stools for an alternative seating during small group learning. I chose the lap desks for students to be able to work while sitting in their own personal space on the floor. I also have students with special needs that could benefit greatly from different seating options.
