Students will engage in paired programming to create mobile apps that will solve a real world problem of their own using MIT created program, app inventor. Students will create apps using block code and ignite a new love of coding/computer science. Logic thinking and processes help develop students processing skills, literacy and high order thinking. Students work on creating individual skills through small tasks such as creating algorithms, conditioning statements, lists, looping and data bases. Upon learning all these skills students apply their learning to focus in on their own task of creating an app.

About my class
