As we all know book learning is necessary. As teachers we need to introduce and demonstrate new skills. We also need the students to have the opportunity to practice these skills. The materials I have requested will allow students to work together to practice in a fun way. Dominoes and flash cards can be used individually or in small groups. After teaching a concept such as place value, the students can reinforce the skill in a game like setting by using the dominoes or math folder games. Math can be fun!
