As a first year teacher, one of my goals is to provide a classroom environment that is supportive and inclusive of all students. For some children, kindergarten is their first school experience, and by providing the right type of children's literature, they will be set up with a love of reading at the beginning of their educational journey. Having a classroom library filled with books that represent all students is one of the most important ways to ensure all students are included! The books I have selected will represent all of my students and teach them about love, respect, kindness, and will help with their social-emotional learning.
