I have been teaching ninth grade English for 15 years and this coming year will also be teaching senior English. One of our key novels that is perfect for the current culture and environment I would like to teach the novel A Raisin in the Sun. I have discovered that we have very few copies of the book, A Raisin in the Sun, and the ones that we do have are ripped and falling apart. By providing these novels you will be providing students who are about to enter our society as adults the opportunity to explore the many viewpoints currently circulating on the news and social media and make their own observations and perceptions about those around them and in their society.

About my class
