Seat sacks are mostly seen in elementary classrooms but here in our diverse settings they should be used for middle school as well. I teach sixth and seventh grade science and often times we utilize our desks as experimental lab space and the only place my students can leave their stuff is the floor. This makes it dangerous to walk around or during any experiment. Having seat sacks will allow students to nearly put their stuff away and not worry about tripping or losing their belongings. It will make a truly effective science based classroom!
