Right now I have an amazing class of students who have really thrown themselves into the study of human anatomy and physiology. Dissections are the capstone experience that brings the learning everything together and shows how it's applied. Unfortunately, our school cannot afford dissection specimens for the students! Having these specimens would allow students to take what they have learned about the 11 body systems and discover how they interact to make up an organism. This is the part that inspires the students! The cat dissection (Zombie Kitties), is the pivotal part of this year's laboratory activities. Students will be engaged in the cat dissections for weeks, learning several body systems in one specimen.
