My students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Today more than ever, we know we need books that they can relate to. My students also have diverse learning abilities and many students work well with pictures and storybooks. We will use the books for the students to put into their classroom library bins, whole group, and small group lessons. It will also allow me to have read-alouds during virtual eLearning. This project will allow me to increase culturally inclusive literature in the classroom and give the students the opportunity to learn through many different stories that may be familiar to them or the people around them.
