My students, have trouble regulating their emotions and typically struggle with adjusting to change, no matter how small. I think it goes without saying, particularly with the pandemic, flexibility and problem solving are a necessary survival skill.(Most most adults are struggling) My goal is for students to learn transferable skills which will help them successful navigate school, home and ultimately the world at large. I will be able to use these materials to engage both in person and remote students, via google classroom. I learned about the Unstuck Curriculum through a conference I attended. I think it will provide me with concrete activities to help my students improve their cognitive flexibility. I will use the teachers pay teachers card to purchase more activities, particularly in the area of emotional regulation and social skills. In particular I have seen some " Escape Room" activities that I believe will be highly engaging to my students. Thank You for considering my project!!
