The items requested will be used in two parts to make a difference in my students' brain growth. The task cards will be used to start our daily Number Talk. This will give the students a chance to collaborate their thinking through a group discussion. I plan on using the DynaMath magazine to incorporate reading and math together. The students would be able to learn about mathematics in the "real world" through the articles, they would be able to develop and apply informational reading skills, and they would be able to explore mathematical concepts related to the skill/concept in the magazine. The individual base 10 sets will be used to ensure that each student has his/her own materials per CDC guidelines (students should not share supplies). By donating these items to my classroom, you'll be a part of helping the students not only have the tools they need to grow into proficient math thinkers, but you'll also help support their health and well being.
