In a self-contained setting, students have a variety of different skills, levels of abilities, and goals that need to be met. This means that there are opportunities for a plethora of learning strategies, styles, and supports including small groups, independent work, whole groups, etc. Technology is known to hold students' attention better, promote success in developing skills, provide student choice and preference in programs, and just "more fun" than traditional independent work. These tablets will allow my student to have technology support that is especially for them, having applications, programs, and resources that support their area of strength as well as develop their areas of growth. Technology is critical in the academic world, now and days and these resources will provide students with the ability to develop not only academic skills but also technology skills that will support them within and beyond the school walls.

About my class
