My hope is to expand my classroom library with a diverse array of children's books. I want my students to read books where they can make connections to the characters on the pages. Students can also learn about famous people and important moments in history. A wide variety of book options should be available to reflect the diversity in my classroom. Many of my students come from low socioeconomic families in which books cannot be purchased through book fairs and monthly book orders. My class library is one way to help students access books and develop a love for reading.
