I am so hopeful that I will be able to bring in books that represent my students' diverse backgrounds so that they see themselves in literature. Finding a book of interest is half the battle with getting children to read, but I know these books will excite and appeal to different children in my class for years to come! I believe these books will encourage a strong relationship with reading and can help shape their future by reading about positive role models who look like them and/or that they can relate to.

About my class
