These magnetic whiteboards and magnetic letters give a variety of interactive lessons that can continue the length of kindergarten. At the beginning of the year these supplies will allow us to work on letters and sounds; searching for them, seeing and feeling their differences and similarities, and writing them. Then we continue to putting on the letters to make words and manipulate words. These supplies will be used to make sight words and writing them. The whiteboards will even be used in math to write and draw. With these supplies, students will become familiar with words and engage with the beginning stages of reading. This hands-on approach will get young readers excited about words because they can play with them.
