I will be the new Special Education teacher in this classroom. My vision for this classroom is to provide a space that comfortable and nontraditional. I want my students to have a reading corner to develop their reading skills and a math area to develop those skills. I also want my students to have the option of flexible seating; this wobble chair will be a benefit for students. Also, bouncy bands are a nice addition to my students' seats due to them needing that sensory as they complete assignments. The parachute is also a great idea to take outside as part of my social/emotional lessons to bring my students together. Cubby trays are also very essential for my classroom. It helps me organize my students' classwork as they work on their weekly goals for their IEP's. All of my students have access to a Chromebook but not all of my students have earphones. These earphones will allow my students to work individually on specific assignments that require sound. The bookcase that is requested will help me organize the Reading Corner with books that my students can read during the designated reading time in the classroom. Chromebooks as well as easy access to the charger. All of these items will make such an impact in my students' lives and help them to be successful as middle schoolers.
