Cooking in the classroom provides so many hands on, cooperative learning opportunities. Students learn basic math skills such as counting, measuring, tracking time as well as social skills from working in a group setting and communicating with each other.Children also gain a sense of responsibility when given a task to complete and during the clean up process. Along with all of the educational opportunities that are involved with cooking in the classroom, it also brings a sense of excitement and fun to learning. Who wouldn't love to cook and learn!
