In my classroom, my students and I focus primarily on social and emotional learning. We learn about the different emotions we are feeling and the appropriate actions to take when we are feeling those emotions. The materials I have requested would be instrumental in helping my kiddos better identify their emotions and work on their coping skills. "Do you ever look at someone and wonder, what is going on inside their head?"-Joy, "Inside Out". I have chosen several different books that I would incorporate into lessons about social skills, such as "Harrison P. Spader, Personal Space Invader" and "Miles McHale, Tattletale," that will help illustrate appropriate behaviors in certain situations. There are also several games, like the "Feelings and Dealings Game," that will give us another method of learning these skills. Lastly, I have selected several types of sensory fidget toys, as they are vital in helping students with feelings of anxiety. Each and every donation will be so appreciated by myself and my team. The more materials we have to help each and every one of these kiddos understand themselves, their feelings, and their choices, the better. Thank you so much for reading!
