When our students dive into a good book, they want to feel comfortable and at ease. These flexible seating options will be great for our reading center along with our small group reading table. The couch will serve as a flexible seating option when students are participating in the read alone or read to me center. They will be able to grab a book, a pillow, and lounge on the couch while discussing the worlds that await them in the book. The stools will serve as seating at the small group table. I have discovered that when children are comfortable even at this table, they are more willing to engage in the lesson being presented to them. Each piece is vital to a reading classroom in order to ensure the most positive learning environment possible.
