My projects goal is to have books in my classroom to represent my diverse students and to create a learning environment for all students. I chose books that I could read out loud to the class as well as books my first graders can read their selves. The books would be easily accessible to the students in my classroom. I believe that having diverse resources will create awareness and will be a stepping stone to create a better world. My students will walk away with a better understanding of social issues and what they can do to help.
