I am requesting items so that my students can have a functional library in our classroom. Literacy is a very dear part of my educational philosophy. When I started working at my school I realized they did not have a school library. Additionally, there were not any shelving for me to create a class library. The shelves will help provide a place to store books of all genres. The bench will allow for additional storage, but also provide a place for students to sit and read their selections. By donating to my project you will help to provide my students an opportunity to have a class library. This will help to provide a literacy rich environment and promote learning.
