My students are BUSY! My students read novels and excerpts from our textbooks but some of the texts are dry and hard to understand. Why are they using that language? What does that language even mean? The texts that I am requesting will break down the text and show pictures of what is happening so my students can visualize what is going on and connect it to what is said to be going on. Students need help with the classics because they are hard! Students learn in all different manners. Some students learn best visually, some audibly, some kinetically. These books will allow my students to feel comfortable while reading them out loud, at home, or in a book club. These will also give us a starting point for acting out the texts in class because students will be better equipped to visualize what they are supposed to be doing and what is going on around them.
