I can't tell you how many of my students beg me each day for a chance to practice on our old, beat-up, acoustic drum set. Unfortunately, I am constantly obligated to say no due to how loud they are... and it breaks my heart. An electronic drum set would open up so many more possibilities for my students to practice and engage with making music throughout the day (not just after school). Drums and rhythm play a key role in almost every form of modern music creation. Learning to play the drums is a fantastic way for young musicians to get started down the path of musical performance and production. It provides a strong foundation for many other future skills and techniques to be built upon.
