The classroom is a safe place for students to come in and learn. Students also spend time communicating and building friendships with other classmates. They need a common place to gather and feel as though they are a part of a community. That is exactly what this carpet will be within my classroom. This carpet will be a place of gathering for my students and a place they will go to build community with one another. My classroom will be colorful and inviting for my students and this carpet will add to that. My students will use this carpet every single day and it will give them a chance to come together as a class instead of all sitting separately at a desk. My class will be a community.
