I have selected a rug that will provide each child with his/her own space where they can sit in rows or around the edge to learn, collaborate, and build relationships. The easel will assist in holding books I will read to my students as well as a place to write our daily message. We will begin each day at the rug with a morning message written on the easel. It will be our gathering place to learn about each other, read various types of literature, and conduct whole group lessons in reading, writing, and math.
