Kindergarten students are excited to enter the "big school". They are excited to learn, to meet new friends, experience new activities, and learn to read. They often tell me "that big kids know how to read". In my class I want my students not only to learn how to read but to love reading. It is my responsibility to make learning to read fun and engaging while I am addressing all ability levels. I envision my students building words with magnet and LEGO letters, writing on whiteboards, reading their favorite author or topic in our newly designed reading center.
